Tripping Over My Ego, Falling On My Face

I have been having a lot of conversations regarding all of the recipes that I am collecting. When I find one that I am interested in on the internet I print it off to either make that day or some time in the future. I now have quite a pile of them - probably a reams worth of paper. Now the question is what is the best way to keep them so that I can find one when I want it without spending a lot of time sorting through the piles. For now the best system seems to be sorting them into categories (beef, chicken, veggies, etc.) and then numbering and indexing them. I believe that this will work.

The issues that came up when having conversations about this really had nothing to do with the recipes though.

1.  This was not my idea. It is apparent to me that I still have a lot of ego wrapped up in being right. This is a problem. I have a very competitive streak in my personality that is not a very attractive quality. Even with all that I have studied about giving up competition I still find myself fighting to be right, rather than just doing the right thing. A nasty habit.

2.  How easily I am willing to throw up my arms and quit rather than stay in the conversation, become humble and look at a situation from all angles and admit that I am being emotional. More ego getting in my way.

A quote from Sadhguru "Good intentions are not enough. It takes the right action, performed with the right consciousness, to produce the necessary results."

No ego in that.
